Leaders in mobile communications MTN have put the decision to increase Mobile Money fees on hold.
The decision was supposed to go into effect on Saturday,
July 1 and will result in a 1% fee for transactions up to GH2,000 and a fixed
cost of GH20 for transactions above that amount.
The decision, according to the industry Titans in
telecommunications, has been placed on hold indefinitely.
On Monday, June 26, MTN Ghana announced that the mooted
review of cash-out costs for MoMo, which was set for July 1, 2023, had been
postponed until further notice.
