Kuami Eugene's lookalike Rockstar Jnr has responded to a viral TikTok video showing him performing at an award presentation that prompted public controversy. In a recent interview on Despite Media's Okay FM, he recounted how he was offered the opportunity to climb the platform and perform Kuami Eugene's big songs, and he continued that he did not accept payment for the participation.
He revealed that he went to an awards presentation with a close friend of his called Mr. Ray, who is a well-known TikToker.
Rockstar Jnr stated that his friend had won an award and that he joined this friend on the stage to encourage him to receive his plaque. When many noticed him, they began to question if it was Kuami Eugene himself. He confirmed that he is not Kuami Eugene and goes by the nickname Rockstar Jnr.
The guests at the award presentation were pleased to see him and encouraged him to sing songs by the 'Angela' hitmaker, which he did. He explained that he was not hired for the show and that no posters were distributed announcing his appearance at the event.
