TWO AMPEM DARKOA LADIES WERE LEFT OUT FOR CAF AWARDS

 Two ladies of  Ampem Darkoa FC players who had been nominated for awards at the 2023 CAF Awards in Marrakech, Morocco, could not attend the ceremony on Monday, December 11.

 

Comfort Yeboah, a defender, was nominated for Women's Young Player of the Year, while Jennifer Owusuaa's goal in the CAF Women's Champions League was one of 12 finalists for Goal of the Year.


However, Moroccan Nesryne El Chad beat out Comfort Yeboah for the award, while Mahmoud Kahraba's goal for Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League was voted Goal of the Year.

Other honors were bestowed on excellent individual players and teams.

 

The Atlas Lions of Morocco were selected as Men's Team of the Year.

Yassine Bounou, their goalie, was voted Men's goalie of the Year, while Nigeria's Chiamaka Nnadozie was selected as Women's Goalkeeper of the Year.
