A combined taskforce, encompassing the Ghana Navy, the Narcotics Control Commission and the Ghana Police Service, has arrested six individuals in possession of items believed to be marijuana.
Led by the Ada Foah Detachment of the Ghana Navy Riverine Command and bolstered by the Ghana Police, the successful operation led to the seizure of 81 bags filled with what is suspected to be marijuana.
The cache was discovered within a crumbling warehouse that resides on the Ghana Highways Authority's premises at Ada.

After the discovery, the suspects were arrested on site, and the recovered drugs were transported to the NACOC Headquarters situated in Accra for a comprehensive examination.
This operation, fueled by intelligent leads, had the objective to intercept the potential transportation of these substances right from their source.
