ACHIMOTA-POKUASE-NSAWAM ROAD HEAVILY FLOODED AFTER SATURDAY’S DOWNPOUR

As is normal, Accra, the nation's capital, experienced flooding on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Following Saturday's downpour, Tantra, Achimota, and Pokuase communities in Accra were entirely submerged.

After the rain, the Achimota-Pokuase-Nsawam route resembled a river more than a road.

Due to their concern that their cars might be washed away by the rain, many drivers had to find secure parking spots for their automobiles.

Nearly all of the routes along the Achimota-St. Johns's region became impassable. Numerous motorists were left stranded.

Several vehicles had to stop their vehicles while the rain fell in order to get back to driving.

The Ghana Meteorological Agency issued a rain advisory for southern Ghana.

The organization predicts that on Saturday there will be instances of rain and thunder in certain regions of the nation.

"Volta, Oti. Eastern, Northern, and parts of the western region are

already engulfed by rain and thunderclouds. The clouds will spread to more areas within the aforementioned regions. Later, Ashanti, Bono, Ahafo, and Savannah regions will experience similar conditions," the GMA wrote on Twitter.
